Gettysburg

I attended my first real reenactment this year on the 4th of July.  It was pretty much awesome.  (despite the intense heat and the massive amount of people...)  So here is part of the battle of Gettysburg for your enjoyment.  :)

emily's senior pictures

I took senior pictures for a friend last week.  First time I've taken senior pictures.  Ever.  I don't claim to be a photographer.  Not even close.  But she asked me so I agreed.  Yeah, I was a wee bit excited.  (and since Emily is a good friend, I knew she'd forgive me even if my pictures were less than awesome...  That always helps!)

Of course I then got on Pinterest to look at senior portraits.  (If you're gonna pretend to be a photographer for a day you should at least know what real photographer's pictures look like, right?)  That was super inspiring and a bit overwhelming at the same time...  But it was really helpful to get an idea of what I hoped the pictures would look like.  My pictures aren't as awesome as the ones I saved in my inspiration folder, but I was pretty happy with my results.  For a first timer.  Who is not a photographer.

I ended up taking almost 500 pictures.  That's a lot.  Emily was so patient and cooperative.  Excellent first (and probably last) experience for me.  :)

So here are some of my faves from my photoshoot with Emily.  Isn't she absolutely lovely?

genuine laugh.  I am pretty funny sometimes...  :P
This one may be my absolute favorite.
With her sister Amy my "prop girl" extraordinaire....  :)

So there you have it.  Which is your favorite picture?
